Greetings from Berlin to Contemporary Art Exchange friends!
It has been an amazing couple of months with the realization of our Through the Looking Glass, Dimly project and our relocation to the wonderful city of Berlin. The project was a massive success with over 200 visitors to the exhibition during its two-week run, and two very fun and enlightening photography workshops run by our collaborators Rosita McKenzie from Edinburgh and Andrew Follows, who came over from Melbourne. Full documentation of the whole project, including the workshop participants’ photos are on our website – just click the link above!
So, what’s next for us? Well, David and I have been reacquainting ourselves with the city and are settling back in nicely. While David embarks on his Clinical Psychology Masters at Potsdam Uni, I am delighted to announce that Rosita McKenzie and I will continue our collaboration and pursue further project opportunities here in Berlin.
October’s sure to be a busy month while I grapple with language barriers, investigate the new cultural landscape (with particular attention to the disability arts sector), meet new artists, and develop new projects. However, I am particularly interested in seeing how our new physical and cultural environment will shape Contemporary Art Exchange’s future direction. So, til the next blog, stay tuned to our facebook and twitter for updates!
