Over the past several months I have been working with Spring Fling, Scotland’s most successful contemporary art and craft open studios event, and Green Hill Gallery in Berlin to present Spring Fling’s debut international showcase exhibition. Join us for two FREE workshops run by artists from our show.

‘Print Studio Zine’ workshop with Katie Anderson & Sarah Stewart

Activating the gallery space by creating a temporary ‘print studio’, the artists will produce a limited edition run of postcard-sized zines. Drawing on Sarah’s background in screen printing and Katie’s interest in context based responsive practice, the zines will reflect the artists’ rural backgrounds contrasted with their immediate responses to the urban context of Berlin.

‘Make Your Own’ workshop with Shona Guthrie & Suzi Plunkett

Combining their distinctive styles and technical specialties, Shona and Suzi have created three mixed media wall mounted artworks full of atmosphere and intrigue. They would like to invite the public to take part in their workshop whereby people are able to create and take home their very own bespoke art piece. Shona and Suzi will supply all of the necessary tools and materials including a wide selection of indigenous creatures and beautiful natural castings to choose from, so that participants will need nothing more than a little imagination to create a personalised and unique piece of art to take away with them.

‘Print Studio Zine’ Workshop mit Katie Anderson & Sarah Stewart

Die Künstlerinnen aktivieren den Galerieraum durch die zeitweise Umwandlung in eine Druckwerkstatt. Die Künstlerinnen werden eine limitierte Ausgabe postkartengroßer Zines erschaffen. Basierend auf Sarahs Erfahrung mit Siebdruck und Katies Interesse an kontextbasierter, interaktiver künstlerischer Praxis werden die Zines den Kontrast zwischen dem ländlichem Hintergrund der Künstlerinnen und deren unmittelbaren Reaktion auf die Urbanität Berlins reflektieren.

Kommen Sie zur Green Hill Gallery um die Künstlerinnen kennen zu lernen, mit ihnen während der Arbeit zu plaudern, mehr über ihre künstlerische Praxis zu erfahren und ein Zine mit nach Hause zu nehmen!

Art. drei hängende, stimmungsvolle Mischtechnikstücke erschaffen, die Neugierde erregen. Sie möchten Sie einladen, an einem Workshop teilzunehmen in dem Sie Ihr eigenes Kunstwerk erschaffen und mit nach Hause nehmen können. Shona und Suzi werden alle nötigen Werkzeuge und Materialien bereitstellen – inklusive einer großen Auswahl an wunderschönen Abgüssen von schottischen Kreaturen und Naturobjekten. Sie brauchen nichts als ihre eigene Vorstellungskraft mitzubringen um ihr eigenes einzigartiges Kunstwerk mit nach Hause zu nehmen.
