Coffee, Curating and Cultural Management

EN // Are you are Berlin-based curator, arts manager, or cultural producer? Are you involved with creative projects in Berlin on a freelance or project basis?

Contemporary Art Exchange invites you to a relaxed drop in discussion for like-minded creatives at the SUPERMARKT café. Join us for a social gathering where you can meet other independent curators and producers across a variety of creative disciplines, discuss methods and ways of working, and get feedback on projects or ideas within a creative and supportive environment.

This month we will focus on the practicalities of how we all manage our individual projects/events/activities. E.g. what amount of time do you allocate for fundraising/marketing/research and development? Are there things you would like to do but feel you are always short on time? Have you found a way to overcome this obstacle? Are you supported in these activities by others or is this something you manage yourself? What are your work rhythms or cycles and what things influence this? I’d love to hear about everyone’s previous and current projects as examples!

Language: Discussions can be held in German or English depending on participants present (translations can be provided on request).

DE // Bist du eine Berliner KuratorIn, KunstmanagerIn oder kulturelle ProduzentIn? Bist du an kreativen Projekten in Berlin auf freiberuflicher oder Projektbasis beteiligt?

Contemporary Art Exchange und SUPERMARKT laden dich zu einem lockeren Treffen für kreative Gleichgesinnte im SUPERMARKT Café ein. Triff dich mit freien KuratorInnen und ProduzentInnen aus verschiedenen kreativen Gebieten auf einen Kaffee, lernt euch kennen, diskutiert Arbeitsmethoden und gebt einander Feedback zu Projekten und Ideen in einer Umgebung, die kein Haifischbecken ist. 

Diese Woche werden wir mit dem Austausch von Updates über unsere Projekte / Herausforderungen bewegen Sie dann auf eine Diskussion über “Projektmanagement und Organisation Ihrer Zeit” beginnen.

Sprache: Das Treffen kann je nach Wünschen der TeilnehmerInnen entweder auf Englisch oder Deutsch stattfinden (Übersetzung jederzeit möglich).
