I have recently been participating in a new curatorial research and development project called Framework, set up by curator Kirsteen MacDonald. The project currently consists of a series of workshops and discussions aimed at emerging curators, providing access to a kind of a mentor environment with established internationally working curators. The second workshop in and my brain feels like it’s going to explode – but only in the good way where you feel like staring a revolution or radically changing everything about the way you think and operate. At a time when my curatorial projects could not be more diverse and the endless mouse-wheel of funding application after funding application is starting to take it’s toll, Framework has indeed injected my curatorial practice with a new energy and I’ve found has contributed to the development of a new framework…of sorts. You can catch my latest blog here.
